A Little Food for Thought

Many of the foods that we eat provide the proteins and nutrients needed to govern all of our brain functions. Certain foods can give us energy, repair brain and body tissue, affect mood, and so on.

While we have industry standards that give us guidelines for what and how we should be eating, when we look at the state of national health, there appears to be a disconnect between what our government regulators say is healthy and what actually makes us look and FEEL healthy. Could it be that these organizations are wrong?

When we look at those who are successful at looking and feeling great and ask them what they consume to feel healthy, would it be the same things prescribed by medical professionals, food guide pyramids and would it be something we can afford? Does the source of our food matter? the amount? in the way that it effects the brain chemicals that we make and store?
