Our Communications Plan: Creating Clarity

When thinking about web publishing, it can sometimes be disorienting to know what kind of information is appropriate for each page. After building separate pages for the mission and values section under the “who we are,” tab, I deleted the placeholder about page because at the time it didn’t seem necessary. After a brief period of time away, however, it occurred to me that I hadn’t quite communicated to our users what exactly we intend this concept to BE.


Without clarity in our vision and a clear understanding of the underlying functions of our platform, our users don’t know what they expect to gain from the site or our initiatives, because we haven’t invested the time we need to anchor that impression upon our page. So with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity of mind we decided to restore our absent “about page.”
